Faberdashery are excited to be exhibiting at London’s Mini Maker Faire. We’ll be joining a spectacular line-up of Makers, designers, artists, crafters, engineers, scientists and technologists from across the capital.
We’re getting seasonal with our stand; showing you how you can Make Merry with 3D printing. Our exhibit includes a spectacular array of 3D prints, designed by Faberdashery, especially for the festive season.
All of the designs are free to download on both Thingiverse and YouMagine. You can find them here:
Thingiverse & YouMagine
Faberdashery are also providing sponsorship for other exhibitors at the Faire in the form of material for their print projects. Visitors to the show will also get the opportunity to win a pack of our filament when they race 3D printed robots at the Cannybots stand.
We can’t wait to meet all you wonderful makers and show you the amazing things we have been doing with our materials. Be sure to come and say hi to the Faberdashery team and grab some of our fun give-aways.

Yay! Spring is finally here and with it comes Easter. We’ve designed the perfect companions for the season of chocolate and candy goodness – Egg Pods. These happy little characters are perfect for delivering Easter treats and will make cute containers after all the goodies have gone!
There are three Egg Pods characters to print: Wilmut the Lamb, Beck the Bunny and Eno the Chick. You can download the files here. Print them out in spring colours and share with friends and family!
Happy Spring everybody!
Hello All. We’re thrilled to be back and well into 2014. It’s not yet a month into the year and already we’ve seen some truly exciting making news. CES was brimming with 3D printing fun (and some crazy); software for 3D printing continues to blossom and grow and there has been a raft of high profile practical and social desktop 3D printing projects. All this makes us think that 2014 is The Year of the Maker!
Faberdashery’s motto for this year is ‘Make More’. We want to celebrate the fantastic things that people are designing and sharing with the world. We’ve started by doing a ‘Make Of The Day’, printing out one wonderful thing a day. Follow along on twitter and facebook. It’s made us very happy and we hope you’ll enjoy following it!
However ‘Make More’ isn’t simply about printing piles of things. It’s about making more of what you’re making. Making better quality, making things to last, making a statement about being a maker. Faberdashery has always been about providing inspiration through amazing colours and quality material.
We’re proud to be part of the maker community and excited by the amazing things makers will do in 2014. We want to hear about your making plans for this year. However big or small. Share them on twitter or facebook. We’ll be looking out!
We are excited to announce Faberdashery filament is available to buy at the iMakr store in London. This is pretty big for us, as it is the first time we have put our filament into a physical retail space.
The store is located in central London and occupys 2,500 square feet across two floors making it the largest 3D print store in the world. Last night Faberdashery was at the grand opening. It was great to feel the buzz and excitement in the store as people took in the variety of printers, materials and accessories on offer.
We are excited by the chance to give greater accessibility to our filament. So come and see touch and smell Faberdashery at the store!
It’s Friday, and we wanted to share a little inspiration with you. Here’s some of the cool stuff people have been doing with Faberdashery filament this week ~
Angry Birds by MotoBarsteward.
Parametric Rings by Yuleblinker.
Blockbot by Richard Gain and a great little video to go with it.
Happy Friday all!
We all have our favorite. The world would be a sad place without it. The best brands are recognizable by it. Colour. In short, it’s a powerful thing. We know at Faberdashery that the filament you print with is vital to making your projects the best they can be. That is why we have launched with 18 fantastic filaments. Some of these are brand spanking new and exclusive to Faberdashery! Whatever your project, we will have the filament to suit it.
So what have we got? To begin with there is our rainbow range. This includes all seven colours of the rainbow, and a few extras thrown in for good measure. For prints that need bold primary colours this range is perfect. Then there is our metallics range, for when you want bring some shimmer and shine to your designs (for some ghetto fabulous prints check out our Bling Bling Gold). There is also our is a translucent range, comprising of Glacial Blue, Jade Green and Crystal Clear. These beautiful translucent filaments will print to a delicate semi-opaque finish. We also have a neutrals range. This includes our fantastic Architects Stone, and our gorgeous Buttercream. Our neutrals are great for models and projects needing an understated finish. Of course we also have our monotones consisting of Classic Black and Arctic White (P.S. Our Arctic White contains optical brighteners that give your prints that whiter than white finish).
We have tried to cater for all tastes and print projects. We want our filaments to excite, amaze and inspire. If you visit our shop and feel like a kid in a sweet shop then we have done our job. However we’re not stopping there. Oh no! Even as you read this we are working on our next filament range. It will be coming out soon, so watch this space!
Well, that is it for now. We are very excited and can’t wait to see what you will do with our filament. So, without further ado, let’s get printing!
